The India Association of Memphis (IAM) cordially invites you to celebrate the 77th Republic Day of India with us! We have planned a fun and engaging lineup of activities for children and families, making this celebration truly special.

Competitions for Kids

  • Poster Making
    • Theme: Unity in Diversity
    • Eligibility: 
      • Category I: Age 6 -10  years
      • Category II: Age 11 -14  years
    • Guidelines: 
      • Artwork should be depicted on 11*17 size poster
      • Submit poster on the event day by 12.45 PM
      • The top three posters will receive rewards!
  • Essay Writing
    • Theme: Republic Day
    • Eligibility: 
      •  Category I: Age 6 -10  years
      • Category II: Age 11 -14  years
    • Guidelines: 
      • Writing tools and paper will be provided.
      • Arrive at the venue by 12 PM.
      • Competition runs from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM.
      • Essays should be a minimum of 100 words.
      • The top three essays will receive rewards!
  • Unity in Diversity Parade
    • Guidelines: 
      • Solo or pairs represent one state together.
      • Participants will be judged based on walk and/or attire.
  • Photography
    • Theme: India in the USA
    • Guidelines: Submit photos by 1/18/26

Cultural Performances

  • Patriotic Speech
  • Patriotic Song Performance
  • Patriotic Dance Performance
  • Instrumental Music

Guidelines for Cultural Performance Participants

  • Speech: Maximum 2 minutes
  • Dance performances: Audio tracks should not exceed 3 minutes
    • Submit your high-quality MP3 audio tracks by Monday, January 19th, 2026
  • Slots are limited, so register early!
  • All entries must be submitted by  Monday, January 19th, 2026
